Are You Sara? starts with a simple name mix-up that ends in murder. Or so it seems.
Thank you to HarperCollins Canada for my gifted copy for review!
Law student Saraswati "Sara" Bhaduri accidentally gets in the wrong Ride car after a bar shift. When she gets home, she finds recently-acquainted Sarah Ellis dead outside her apartment.
Was it a case of wrong name, wrong place? Or full-on mistaken identity?
Are You Sara? started out strong for me, and had the makings for a uniquely suspenseful story. Partway through, though, the storyline took a shift and my interest waned. I wasn't invested in any of the characters besides Sara and Ajay.
The book is told mainly from Sara's POV, with occasional chapters from Sarah Ellis years prior.
The writing was very readable and crisp, but the storyline ultimately wasn't for me.
 For release on Aug. 9.
