I have incredibly strong feelings on grown ass cis women writing mlm romances, especially those who write spicy scenes when they are minors (actually why tf is that happening, who is allowing it?!). That being said, the first 42% was very uncomfortable and almost made me dnf based on pure discontent. After that point, it picked up and I started to get pulled back in but the pacing of the last half was atrocious. What do you mean we start at 16 and then time jump to 27/28 year-olds during one single war but like 8 years go by with no explanation?? Achilles frustrated me sooooo bad and reminded me of why I hate men… Patroclus deserved so much better than that sad excuse of a man. Classic boy mom turned mommy issues ruining everything once more.
