Hurt for Me
by Heather Levy
*potential spoilers if you have not finished Hurt for Me*
Hurt for me had a very promising premise, a story that takes place in the past with a traumatized and scared Rae, and in the present with Mistress V. I found this book to be as thrilling and unique as I suspected it would be. While I don’t typically love when chapters differ between the past and present, I think in this case it was needed in order to better understand Rae/Mistress V. I thought the romance between Rae and Dayton was enjoyable, and was left feeling satisfied at the ending. I liked the idea that Rae was finally happy with herself and the person she turned out to be.
