Well, I was hooked on this book from the moment I picked it up. The amount of plot twists made me dizzy but satisfied. This was a story built perfectly around suspense and horror and JB delivered beautifully. We meet Toby, Trish and Peter who are dubiously brought in to a situation that’s, messed up to say the least. Dark and twisty paths lay ahead with The Trust, and Her. I still don’t know how to feel about Nash, is he a hero we don’t understand, martyr, or just a basic human blinded by greed? Some of his dealings are left unresolved but maybe they weren’t necessarily part of the main story but simply necessary catalysts? I wish we would have had a small bit of an answer either way. I think the ending, for the type of story this was, was perfectly chosen. I am almost hopeful that this won’t be the last time we hear of Pesta. I feel like she’s not done brooming or raking about just yet.
