She: A History of Adventure
by H. Rider Haggard
Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!
The beginning of the book was the best part, in my opinion. I think that Holly is hilarious without trying to be, and I love all the British dry humor....and I get it because I read and watch too much British stuff...sigh. Anyways, up until the point where they finally meet She, I was into it, but after that it got kind of boring. Ayesha was on my nerves the whole book, and I literally cheered when she shriveled up and died after standing in the Fire of Life. Holly and Job and Ustane were my favorites. Leo was ok till he saw Ayesha's beauty, then he was just a wuss even after she died.
I thought it was a very interesting and creative story, but I felt that Haggard spent too much time drawing certain scenes out, like the exploring of the Tombs. Other than that, it wasn't bad, but if I read again one day it will be as an actual book, not online, cause I think that made it worse.
