This was a solid read. Some twists were predictable, others surprising, though nothing jaw-dropping. It was an easy and enjoyable read, and I really felt for the characters, especially in the aftermath of Avery’s disappearance and the trauma they endured. The short, emotionally-packed chapters were engaging, though certain parts dragged a bit.
As the story unfolded, I found myself completely absorbed by the twists and turns, unable to put it down. The author skillfully wove a web of suspicion, keeping me on edge with each new revelation. The relentless pace and constant tension made for an emotional rollercoaster .Despite the frustrating decisions and flaws of the characters, they felt authentic and relatable, adding depth to the plot. Little Michael's innocence was particularly touching. I flew through the pages, eager to uncover the truth behind Avery’s disappearance. Everyone Here is Lying is a fast-paced domestic thriller with unlikeable characters, dark motives, and clever misdirection. The short chapters keep you guessing until the very end. It masterfully explores heavy themes like child abuse, domestic violence, and infidelity, creating an intense, gripping read
