Don't Cry for Me
by Daniel Black
My heart broke for every character in this book. I marked down anecdotes that reminded me of my father and grandfathers, and am now reflecting on the experiences of my mother and grandmother. Generational trauma, isms and phobias dealt with nuance. Painful and real. As my Dad would say, “Damn.”
