This collection of short stories is so wildly disturbing, but I could not stop listening. Some ended on a reasonable conclusion, and others I was wishing there was more of an explanation. They’re at times grotesque and haunting. My jaw dropped to the floor multiple times.

Chung has the ability to leave you speechless and questioning why you picked up the book in the first place. I was enamored by Chung’s descriptive writing style from the very first story. If you enjoy horror, speculative fiction, and fairytales, then you’re in the right place, since this book is truly a mixture of all of these.

I chose this for #TheDiverseBaseline May Prompt A: A book by an East Asian, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander author.
