Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow
by Jessica Townsend
This was such a delightful read! I enjoy this magic world so much, and it’s officially reached the top 5 of fictional worlds that I really want to visit.
I thoroughly enjoy the mysteries that came about. And I had an inkling about the notes that were being delivered (I’m glad I was right about my hutch) but the author was really good at making me question if I should trust my gut or not - and you know what she did at the end. When it was revealed I was so shocked because a part of me didn’t want to believe that a trail could be that stressful on relationships.
And the betrayal that occurred had my jaw dropped!! The fact that I put so much trust into that teacher, and to be so wrong about someone. This book also has me second guessing Ezra as a character. He is evil and has done terrible things, but the way he tried to help (even if it was alluded for his own selfish reason). But I feel like there is more to his character. And for some reason I have a feeling that he and Morrigan could be related. This however is just a theory of mine.
What I really want to see more of is the school system and interactions between Morrigan and the rest of Unit 919.
