The Fruit Cure: The Story of Extreme Wellness Turned Sour
by Jacqueline Alnes
I was excited when I came across this as I was also super into freelee and durianrider in like 2012 and the idea of a book exploring their impact was very interesting.
This didn't quite reach those heights. I enjoyed the authorial voice, I felt for her personal story, and I especially enjoyed her approach to the history of veganism, but having not actually ever been a fruitarian, or even raw til 4, I question why she decided she was the person to write this book, or why she wrote it in this manner. The link between her story and freelee didn't work at all for me because it was nothing more than my own link, she thought she was an interesting YouTuber.
I really did enjoy the history of veganism/frutarianism though. Very interesting
