This one started off a little slow and the initial similarities of this and Colleen Hoover’s Verity were hard to ignore. However, it quickly fell into its own story, leaving all similarities behind.
I loved the tension in this book so much. I constantly felt as though I was being gaslit and I never could quite get a handle on the real story. You experience the plot through two timelines and the twists and turns are oh so delicious!
Freida McFadden has definitely become one of my favorite authors! This one is perfect for fans of Verity, Gone Girl, and Behind Closed Doors.
