Reached

I have to honestly say that I was a bit let down by the final book in this trilogy.
*This contains spoilers* I had a tough time sticking with "Reached." While I liked the author's lyrical writing style, I felt that much of the text could have been left out. I admire the author for continuing to develop and enlarge the plot line, but I felt like it kind of came out of nowhere. First Cassia is learning all about the mysterious underbelly of the Society, then she's sent out to the Outer Provinces where she learns about The Rising, then she's fighting a Plague that the Rising used to infiltrate the Society? I was expecting more, I suppose.
I gave it a three instead of a two because I genuinely liked the first two books, the author has beautiful writing, and I loved that she stressed the importance of art and expression in societies.
