I loved the messaging of this book. The found family and how love binds people together. I also loved how effectively this book shows how 1 person with the greedy desire for power can taint and manipulate when they are in a position of power. How easily lies can spread and good deeds questioned. 

I loved how the friendship of 2 women transcends death with the whisper of hope.
