I got to enjoy this book in audio and visual format which was such a treat. My friend and I listened to the first half together and literally yelled in her car every time Andrew didn't realize that yes, Thomas is VERY gay for you lol.
I seriously enjoyed this book and it'll stick with me for a while. We may not have gotten all the answers we wanted, but the writing was so beautiful and haunting that it was worth the mystery at the end.

Graphic: Body horror, Child death, Death, Gore, Mental illness, Self harm, Blood, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Child death, Homophobia, Panic attacks/disorders
Child death explanation (minor spoilers, character name is not revealed): Two teenagers die, one is not gone into in graphic detail and other can be jarring with its description. This character is found hanging by vines (it is not a suicide).
Death explanation (spoiler for how they are killed (warning for a very graphic description), character name is not revealed): An adult character dies by being stabbed through the head and having their face ripped off.
