armaget 's review for:
Prince of Cats
by Ron Wimberly
I mean, I never thought I would have to read the words "Daddy Capulet"
I didn't like this book. I thought, a graphic novel about Tybalt? Cool! He's my favorite character from Romeo and Juliet, so could be fun :)
It wasn't. It wasn't fun, not very entertaining, and was hardly about Tybalt. I also thought it would follow the plot to Romeo and juliet, and it did, a little, but also made up a whole new plot. The characters were very unlikeable- WAs it the intent of th4e author to make us dislike very single character? Cause that's what happened.
The only thing I liked was Gregory and Sampson.
I wasn't really a fan of the art either. It seemed more comic-y than graphic novel-y. Actually, I think this was a comic. Was it? I don't like comics much (except for those old archie comics and super friends ones by mom has) so maybe that's why I didn't like the art.
Overall kind of just disappointing.
Happy Ending Rating: I didn't care
