I feel confused about this review. On one hand, the book had gorgeous prose in some parts (there is a scene where Berg talks about the homesickness for a moment when you're in it that was exquisite) and is captivating but on the other hand it felt flat in other sections and left me conflicted about the story and questioning the philosophy. I couldn't put it down though and basically finished it overnight!
