Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky
5.0
This little novella really resonated with me. I was amazed at how relevant Dostoeveky's thought is today. Apparently the first work of Existentialism, it is also an interesting exploration into the psychology of generally unhappy people. I thought it was weird how Kaufmann, in the introduction to _Existentialism from Dostoevsky to Sartre_, mentioned Freud in relationship to Dostoevsky, but now I understand a bit more. There is a continuum between Psychology and Philosophy. In retrospect that's obvious. Huh.
