Not enough captivating

I was bored reading this. In the first book, there was part of the puzzle that was fun to solve. It didn't happen in the second part.

The relationship between the characters is not developed at all. Every interaction between characters works in a pattern, she puts her hand on his chiselled chest, he presses her against the wall/wood/carpet/bed, he or she suddenly steps back. Over time, it becomes predictable and boring when you know how the characters will behave.

All the dialogues between the characters are kind of dry.

We are bombarded with a huge amount of descriptions of the environment that does not matter, after a minute we switched to something else.

Many chapters are on the journey of the characters, they just go somewhere.

The most boring thing is that we don't even doubt that the characters will be king and queen in the third book. Where is the tension?

Smutty not delivered.
