Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters: An African Tale by John Steptoe

This is honestly one of my favorite books. In this Cinderella tale, there are 2 distinct and different daughters. One cannot begin to the think of others while the other only thinks of others. It is a well done story that provides some gasp factor when thinking about some of the things the girls encounter. The illustrations are exquisite and the book is truly a classic.
