The third book in this trilogy hit differently. I thought the structure, though somewhat confusing from time to time, really helped slowly reveal the bigger picture of the story quite well.

Gothi and Genthli were two fun additions to the Children of Time works. I thought the corvid angle of pairs worked well with spiders and octopuses that were already established. It was a neat trick in how these two worked together.
“We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep.”
The ending was compassionate. I liked how things wrapped up. It could have gone several different ways but I thought that it was a very human decision that prevailed.<\spoiler>
As a huge fan of Adrian Tchaikovsky, I was fortunate enough to grab the trilogy of special edition books from The Broken Binding. The books are absolutely beautiful and I look forward to cracking them open and revisiting this series from time to time.
