First off so just want to say that I don’t believe in book burning or censorship.
I bought this book as a second hand version of the Bachman collection on eBay. I enjoyed it but there were parts that just had me feeling meh.
First of all I thought the brutality and rawness of the first part of the story was excellent. Then after all that is over and the kids are just chatting amongst themselves I found myself a little bored.
I went into this wanting a story that explored dark and disturbing themes but was left with a messed up Breakfast Club.
Interesting premise but due to my expectations it fell flat for me.
