Entertaining story that furthers the world from the Cruel prince.  Wren is a very troubled character that endured massive trauma and abandonment issues and is forced to live in a feral way watching her old family from afar.  Oak, her only 'childhood friend' helps her a storm hag Bogdana, an ally of Lady Nor.  He low key kidnaps her and forces her on his quest that he obly tells half truths on the details.  They have an adventure, Wren comes out of her shell and begins to trust people again, and when it looks like our heros will succeed Wren learns Oak has betrayed her and she sort of turns on him.  I like it.
