She Started It
by Sian Gilbert
Pretty much what I expected, this book is about as subtle as a brick to the face. The plotline seemed intriguing enough, but the dialogue and story felt unrealistic and flat. Like yeah I can believe a group of women might accept an all expenses paid trip even if it was from someone they horrifically bullied and haven't spoken to in ten years, but the fact that all of them would just go along with everything that the main character expects throughout the bach trip seem far fetched.
Also, it initially seemed like the story was going to be about a friendship group that fell out, but instead it was just four women who bullied the fifth and destroyed her life. I think the story would have been a lot more intriguing and believable if they all had been friends, but with one on the margins until they eventually took it too far.
However, it got me out of my reading slump so for that I will give two stars.
