Although I loved the writing, and the overall themes of the book, I just didn’t LOVE the book itself. I gave it a solid 3.5 stars. I’m not as familiar with Grimms fairytales as others, so it took me a while to figure out what was happening. It fits perfectly for a read in October, as it is quite a descriptive gruesome read. The main character frustrated me until about the last 2 chapters.
