Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch

This was such an interesting and endlessly entertaining concept for a story: I couldnt have guessed where it was going. I loved the humour, the world building and the development of the lore. SOME of the humour maybe hasn't aged well and occasionally I found the writing fractured and a bit confusing, but to be fair I did read some of it whilst I was ill with covid. I look forward to reading another one! My best description would be Douglas Adams crossed with Harry Potter (a reductionist summary which devalues all three authors, but hey I'm not paid to write this and I'm still recovering from covid!).
