I struggled to connect with Ash Mountain, mainly due to the confusing character nicknames and a lack of emotional depth. While the setting was vivid and the tension built well at times, I found it hard to stay engaged. The small-town dynamics were interesting, but the characters felt distant, making the story less impactful. A decent read, but not one that left a lasting impression.
