I’ve never read a book where sexuality was explored / talked about like this. It’s hard to explain without giving potential spoilers but let me first say I LOVED this book.
Charlie is Jack (hero from book 1)’s brother. Their parents died when Charlie was just shy of 18 and him having to provide for Jack really impacted his life. It’s almost 20 years later and he feels very lonely, isolated… he isn’t sure how to BE with other people, really.
Enter Ry.
Again, the way they talked about Charlie’s sexuality… likes and dislikes… what he was okay with, was SO respectful.
I didn’t expect to get so emotional about this book but the “older sibling taking care of younger sibling and sacrificing for them” dynamic got to me!
