great book, very interesting. i love the style of writing interspersed with relevant news articles. i think evelyn is very complex and real. i wish monique's story had more presence throughout the book, although i understand the focus was primarily evelyn. my only other qualm was that celia's characterization seemed to shift weirdly during their second relationship, maybe that's just me
