A Children's Bible by Lydia Millet

4.0

Read for Studies in Environmental Literature and Culture course, Spring 2021

Cautionary, Apocalyptic

This book took me by surprise. It is very short and easy to read, but I wasn't expecting to be so enlightened. I have never annotated a book so extensively.

The biblical connections were interesting coming from a child who grew up in a secular home and started to see connections between his life on a changing planet as related to events in the bible. Jack and Evie was special main characters that embody biblical characters and show modern readers the influence the idea of God as nature and Jesus as science can have.
