Turgenev’s books are short, but beautiful. He packs a lot into a novella. I’m always astounded by the subtle emotions in his stories. (This is the third book by him I’ve read).

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel on a re-read, but this was just as lovely.

"I cannot attempt to describe what Sanin felt when he read this letter. There are no phrases adequate for such feelings: they are deeper and stronger than any words, and cannot be defined. Music alone could convey them."
