Another “on paper” book that unfortunately didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The plot in itself would be thrilling, but something about the writing style made me struggle to keep reading. I found the central “love story” unconvincing but my hope is that that was intentional - Frannie may have been deeply infatuated, but it seems as if Meg saw her as an amusement rather than a lover.
