So I want to start this with this is a good book. It just isnt a book for me. Is it still a 4 star read? Heck yes. I just am not a feel good, light hearted romance reader, and if I am it needs tons of emotion and suspense. I was hoping this the scandals, and criminal ex would be enough for me. Unfortunately I still struggled to get into it, and still struggled to push through the story. This is a me problem. This is not related to the book, the book I felt was good. Just isnt for me.
This Contemporary Romance is a feel good romance, with tidbits of suspense added in. The romance in this book is a damaged relationship that is built on lies. The book is spicy, and does have some detailed spicy scenes involving basm. The book moves at a steady pace following Larisa and Quinns relationship after it was shattered to pieces by lies and scandals. They try to find some normalcy in the tabloids. Secrets, and larisa's past will throw all their attempts into the wind to scatter. Quinn is struggling with trying to connect who Larisa is with who he thought she was. Larisa is learning she cares more for Quinn than she ever expected. The book is set in a contemporary time line in a wealthy life style, full of scandal and excitement while keeping an over all light feel.
