Very enjoyable. Unique, lyrical, full of history, sounds, and smells. It almost felt like I was walking down streets of the 17th century Paris. Very evocative. The things that happened in this book were pretty f**ked up. That ending. Shakes head. I will read this again one day. It's the kind of book that you can read over and over again, and each time, learn something new or find new meaning.
