Jeff Zentner nailed it with this one. Dill, an imprisoned preacher’s son, Lydia, a well known fashion blogger, and Travis, a fantasy fiction fan stuck in the world of his novels, all live in a small town in Tennessee. All three want to forget their past. All three want something better, but their past is preventing their future.
Dill is the son of an imprisoned preacher who used snakes and strychnine as part of his ministry. Dill’s name is forever sullied in the town due to his father’s imprisonment of possession of child pornography, and Dill just wants to break free from his parents mistakes so he can live his own life. With his friends by his side, he learns about love, loss, what family should be, and what he values most.
