avrowland96 's review for:
Christy Harrison tackles once more a massive interconnected pile of social messes and marginalizations, much like Anti-Diet. The scope was much broader which is impressive, but that meant certain research areas didn’t go quite as deep as her first book (for example: the research on memory/trauma/repressed memories bordered on pop psychology and isn’t quite comprehensive). Despite that one shortcoming, the rest of the literature is incredibly sound and Harrison tackles these problems with science, compassion, and social justice in mind. Hope she writes another book soon!
