I Heard the Owl Call My Name by Margaret Craven

4.0

I thought this book was ok. It's premise was fine and I liked the NW Indian history. It was just that I couldn't buy into the priest's reality while the natives seemed very real. The hero in the book was never brought out, but I feel compassion for the struggles of the tribe. The ending was not part of the plot or maybe not thought out completely, that's regarding the writing style. I wouldn't recommend this to youth. Too much coarseness. I would recommend this to anybody entering college or beyond.
