Read this book as a beta reader - let’s just say that I was not ready for Ilian … or for Zhuliya for that matter. I love how Wendi always gives you exactly what you expect from her but with a twist or a surprise so that you’re still excited and intrigued. I also appreciated seeing how different countries handled the whole “monster” thing seeing as the other books are all US based.
