This is a great book where you get a look the interactions and feelings between the conqueror and the conquered. Prejudice and friendship are the key elements in this story. Even the open minded under certain circumstances are prejudiced and can unleash false accusations that destroy lives and relationships. I found the ending very fitting between Aziz and Fielding and hoped for them to meet in another era where they could be truly friends.
