A Dance with Dragons 2: After the Feast by George R.R. Martin

4.0

This was much better than the last two. Like A Storm of Swords, part two of A Dance with Dragons was much better than part one. The writing seemed go flow a little better, I think Martin's writing style works really well when things are a little faster-paced. More interesting things happened in this than in ADWD part one and AFFC combined. I still maintain that this would have worked better if those two were combined and made into one book and this last part was entirely separate (and possibly a little longer, but maybe that's just my wishful thinking).

I liked that most of the characters were present in this one, I loved the intrigue and the set up for Winds of Winter. I liked the bit of action I got in this. All in all it was back to the standard set by books one through three and raised my hopes where book four and the first part of book five had lowered them. I can't wait to carry on with this series!
