Central Station by Lavie Tidhar

What a fascinating read Central Station was. More an exhibition of beautifully linked and written prose portraits than a plot driven novel, the way in which the short stories are woven together into an episodic whole is a splendid experience.

Also what was excellent was the way the novel focussed on Tel Aviv and Judaism and the world around that in its future setting, away from a more traditional western gaze, it felt a refreshing sci-fi take.
