This one was all right. just ... all right. I honestly expected more from this ending of an arc because it had been built up for točolčpočpploopopwo series or twelve books.

Fire will save the clans coming back and Firestar being the fourth cat felt so underwhelming.
Hollyleaf's death was ... something I guess. I loved that she saved Ivypool but her death still felt wasted and underwhelming. So did the other cat's who died during the battle and after the battle. The entire final battle felt underwhelming. There were some parts that were interesting but then it just became boring, dull and repetitive. That being said, I am glad that Spottedleaf died and that whole arc was over. I am glad that Firestar didn't have to choose who his mate would be in StarClan even though I still loathe Spottedfire ship because they barely have any chemistry and they barely have any moments together yet she wants to have his kits and wishes she was his mate. I also loved that we finally got Tigerstar vs. Firestar and that Firestar wins instead of that weak and weird Scourge vs. Tigerstar we got in the first arc. That one felt so cheap because someone that was introduced in the last book killed the epic vilain, so Firestar finally killing Tigerstar for good was great to see and Firestar's death was sad but expected and good.

I am sad that we didn't get to see any battle happening in RiverClan camp, RiverClan seems largely forgotten once again aside from Mothwing being the only sensible medicine cat because she doesn't believe in StarClan.

Overall I felt that this book lacked something, I am not sure what it was missing but it was missing something and I expected more. I wish that we got more because it had so much potential especially after how great the rest of the books in this arc were but it just felt so underwhelming and disappointing. It was so close to being good though.
