As a fan of The Folk of the Air series this was not quite what I had imagined to read.
I did had high expectations when I bought this book and I think that was my fault. Oak’s and Suren’s story is completely different from Cardan and Jude- which don’t get me wrong is a good thing. Still, there was something missing. Something I can’t really put my tongue on.
I did enjoy reading this book, though I have to say that I do love all Holly Black books. It’s not a Romantasy book where the main focus is on the couple but a Fantasy book that puts a lot plot into the world and backstory, which is something I actually like to read in Fantasy books.
While I did have high expectations, The Stolen Heir didn’t completely disappoint me. Though I have to admit that I liked The Cruel Prince more!
