I enjoyed the exploration into the line between love and obsession and the idea of was it ever love? or what defines what love is? I think I would have maybe drawn out the portion of the book before they actually got together to really emphasize them being drawn together and developing their obsession with each other because I think that that is the main theme of their relationship and the book as a whole. The ending was not what I expected but also was, in a way, because I couldn't see another way for their relationship to culminate. I think this would really thrive as a book-to-screen adaptation because the setting was vivid in the book but the nature of their relationship and how uncomfortable it was as it devolved would be made that much more intense with a visual element. Also was unable not to draw a comparison to the one Criminal Minds episode with the pair of unsubs in love.
