We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
4.0

This is such a short read, only 42 pages and you can finish it in under 15 minutes

The author talks about how feminism is perceived by people, how men and women are treated differently by society (yes, by the same men and women), how our mindsets are shaped because of that, and how unfair society can be towards women.

I love how she responded to those who say, "Don't call them issues for women; call them human issues," by flipping it and saying, "Don't call them issues for Black men; call them issues for humans." That one hit hard.

This book was published in 2014, if I remember correctly. It’s wild how much the world has changed and hasn’t changed when it comes to feminism. Even now, we still have to explain, "We are feminists who don’t hate men." That alone shows why books like this are still so important.
