Thought it was a bit slow to get started but once the truce with Baz was struck it was well paced. Thought it was weird how

the mage being evil was so heavily laid on, wasn’t sure if there was supposed to be a big reveal moment or not, also feel like Simon’s reaction to learning his father is Stalin was not addressed sufficiently for my tastes

. Overall a fun little romance and the magic bits were a whimsical and amusing background.
