Such a helpful and easy to read, practical book on the subject of psychological abuse - the sort of abuse that leaves no physical scars, but can be just as deadly and damaging as the abuse that does leave visible marks. Reading the descriptions of types of psychological abusers was like reading a checklist of features of people from my past, and the advice about healing is all good and helpful. I am mostly on the other side of this, but it's great stuff and great reading for those who experienced such abuse, and those supporting them. It should be pointed out, as the author also does, that a book like this does not replace, but rather augments, seeking therapy and other healing processes.
