Shadow Princess (Parts 1 and 2) [Dramatized Adaptation]
by Susanne Valenti, Caroline Peckham
I’m really starting to enjoy this series more and more. Even the graphic audio format, which took some getting used to, isn’t bothering me now, aside from the occasional loud music, which can be a bit much. The dramatized style actually adds a lot of energy to the story once you settle into it.
This instalment continues to build on the character development I’ve been loving. It’s great to see how the characters are growing and evolving, especially as the stakes get higher. There are still a few I don’t like, but that’s part of the fun, this series doesn’t shy away from complex personalities and shifting loyalties.
The plot keeps moving forward with plenty of twists and lingering mysteries. Just when you think you’re getting answers, new questions pop up. And wow, what a cliffhanger this time! (have the tissues ready) I wasn’t ready for it, and now I’m stuck waiting for the next book to become available. It’s still on hold at my library, and I noticed the GraphicAudio version hasn’t even been released yet, so the suspense continues!
