The Water Babies by Charles Kingsley

2.0

I've wanted to read this for a while because it's one of the best known children's books that has popped up all over the place from the second I got into the field.

And so, I expected it to be a lot more than what it turned out to be. But I think that's mostly due to my high expectation then to the actual book, because I actually did like it, but there were some dull moments that tempted me to skip ahead, but it's the kind of story that you just can't skip because it's all kind of connected.

Over all it's a 3.5 star book. Good, but not great. But I'd probably read it again at a later date, much slower, and with closer attention to detail.
