Come Back to Me by Sharon Sala

5.0

After an unfortunate incident, Aidan and his father left Blessings leaving Phoebe with unanswered questions, friends, family, and memories behind. Years later, Aidan is back in town to deal with loose ends after his grandfather dies. He bumps into Phoebe and her son, Lee, which brings some tension and conflicting emotions. Aidan discovers Phoebe was pregnant when he left Blessings and his grandfather knew. Instead of telling him and forcing his grandson to come back, he kept memories and took notes for when the time came. Phoebe, still scarred from the past, was cautious around Aidan but didn't keep her son from spending time with his father. The more time Aidan spent around him and her, the more her feelings came to the surface.

As usual, Sharon Sala warms my heart up with her storytelling. All of the books I have read so far have been lovely and bring me joy. They also bring me hope for finding love in the future. I love how Sharon makes her stories realistic with a few dramatic touches to it.

I think this is by far my favorite book she has written in the Blessings, Georgia series. Even though majority of her books follow a similar format, they all have something different that makes each stand out. I think Come Back to Me stands out the most because of how much I can relate to both of the main characters, Phoebe and Aidan. Aidan had left without a goodbye or much explanation, leaving Phoebe on her confused and heartbroken. I have moved away from someone without much choice and I have also been left behind, confused. My emotions started to bubble while reading this book because of how much I wanted the characters to get together. I wanted things to end well for them or appear to go in that direction. Luckily for me, it did. 5/5 stars.
