All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
4.0

ok so 200 pages in i was kinda slumping so read something else and then came back to this. first of all, the writing is absolutely beautiful, and the way the narratives intersect was amazing. i really liked the characters and i think t.he whole concept was phenomenal. my only problem was that i kept getting confused with who was who because some of the german names were similar, and that werner's pov was quite scientific which i didnt understand. the book made me feel a lot of things and i was expecting to cry but i didnt quite get there because there was something missing. i would definitely recommend this though, even though it is quite long and seems heavy it was an amazing book and if this was turned into a film i swear it would be incredible.
